First, thank you for your patience as we’ve worked this summer to redevelop Midway Avenue.  It is truly appreciated and we recognize that this has been an inconvenience to each of you.  Hopefully, you will enjoy the new improvements once they’re completed enough to feel the summer of 2017 was worth it!

We originally hoped to have the project completed by Ammon Days, August 5th.  This did not happen as a result of waterline repair and heavy rain early in the project.  Unfortunately, we cannot control all aspects of the project.

To update you on the expected schedule as we complete this project please review the information below:

Week of August 7 – 17th Street to Southwick will be worked on and additional grading will be done.

Week of August 14th – Curb and gutter work will begin.  We will start at Southwick.  At times residents will be unable to access their driveways during this process.  Street parking will be necessary.  After the required cure time for the curb and gutter the City will grade the driveways for access until asphalting occurs.

The project will not be completely done by the first day of school. To help with the additional traffic, the City will provide personnel on Midway at the crosswalk locations between Hillview Elementary, Southwick Drive and Circle S.  Crosswalks will be manned mornings, lunch times and afternoon dismissal time until the crossing is restored with signage and striping.

Please check our website or Facebook for updates to the project.

If you have any additional questions, please contact the City at 208-612-4000. Thank you
